Project Description:

The purpose of task order is to support the Defense Health Agency (DHA) within a, indefinite-quantity (IDIQ) single award task order contract (SATOC) providing total turn-key project support for Initial Outfitting and Transition Facilities Support Services for the replacement facility for the William Beaumont Army Medical Center (WBAMC) at Ft Bliss, TX.

The scope includes knowledge-based project support for planning, outfitting, and transitioning the staff and patients associated with the new hospital/healthcare facility. Altus’ scope of work includes the planning, design and develop the requirements for all Medical Equipment, Furnishings and Artwork outlined within the projects Part 2, Attachment ”Schedule of Deliverables” and Part 3, “Master Room Contents List”.  All Furniture and Equipment for this project is being procured using the MIL-STD 1691 Medical Equipment Database.

Altus responsibilities included conducting departmental/user interviews developed an existing inventory list (RPIE) establishing reuse and new equipment and furnishings requirements as well as determining excess/disposition items. Our Team is ensuring the MDG standards and specifications are met and provided all necessary I/O submittals.

The detailed outfitting implementation on this project includes calculated relocation and operational planning, procurement, pre-move checklists, transition planning and relocation execution with project review from initial design to final installation. The renovation increases space efficiencies, develops functional space adjacencies between clinics, consolidates patient services, updates interior finishes and appearance, increases the sustainability of the building, and corrects patient way-finding, all while creating a clinical environment that adheres to current Department of Defense Space Planning Criteria and guidelines.
