The new Korff Fitness and Wellness Center at Thayer County Health Services is now open! Members of the Altus design team were honored to attend the open house and ribbon cutting ceremony. Altus provided Master Planning and Architectural Services for TCHS. The Wellness Center Addition was the first phase in implementing the Master Plan. Altus was proud to be a part of the Dedication Ceremony for the new CHI Health Creighton University Medical Center – University Campus. The event was well attended by City officials, CHI Health providers, CUMC faculty, and members of the community. Part of a larger Academic Medical Center initiative, this location serves the local community with a 24-hour emergency department, pharmacy, physical and occupational therapy, imaging, clinic space for family practice, OB/GYN, and pediatrics. February 8, 2016 – Construction continues to progress on the Fontenelle Nature Center Raptor Experience in Bellevue, Nebraska. The exhibit features several cabins (also known as mews) where injured raptors will undergo rehabilitation. Visitors will have year-round views of the raptors while they reside in climate controlled cabins with screened porches. The cabin design is reflective of the surrounding forest and existing nature center.
The display is expected to open in early summer 2016.
December 14, 2015 – The 80,000 square foot CHI Health Academic Medical Center – University Campus construction is progressing and the building is taking shape. Construction is anticipated to be complete in Fall 2016.
The 2-story medical center will include space for primary care physicians, specialists, imaging, laboratory, physical therapy, and 24-hour pharmacy and emergency departments. The building will have 64 outpatient exam rooms for use by 30 physicians working in family medicine, internal medicine, pediatrics, women’s health, behavioral health, cardiology, orthopedics, and other areas. Space for clinical research will be included within each clinic module. Physical therapy and occupational therapy will be located on the lower level, as well as meeting space for community members and Creighton University’s medical students.

Altus was awarded the IIDA: Interior Design in Excellence (IDEA) People’s Choice Award for the Specialized Engineering Solutions, Inc. (SES) office. Altus and SES worked together to convert an abandoned, 10,000 square foot outdated strip mall into a new, highly-efficient office space for their growing firm.

Altus provided architecture and design services for the newly completed CHI Health clinic near 161st and Maple streets in Omaha, Nebraska. An open house was held in January to celebrate the opening of the new facility.
