The existing design of Omaha’s Immanuel Medical Center’s semi-private rooms offered limited equipment management, very little storage, poor lighting and no space for family wrapped within a cold, outdated environment. Altus was brought on to address budget concerns with the previous design, establish a new, more efficient and cost-effective plan and design with in a fast-track time frame.
* Utilized some of the original design to create a warm and inviting space for patients, family, and staff while delivering on safety, IT, and efficiency concerns
* Existing toilets remained in their current location while the rest of the patient bathroom was redesigned around them, effectively reducing the budget
* The head wall was simplified while maintaining all the necessary equipment and needs of the staff
* Reduced cost by almost $1 million per floor
