This project Laboratory Upgrade/Remodel Project of approximately 9,600 square feet within the R. Joe Dennis Learning Center (LCN). The challenge with this project was to increase the size of four lab classrooms with the existing buildings foot print. By eliminating unused circulation, the new labs were shifted thus adding square footage to each room. With Bellevue University serving a combination of traditional on campus students as well as the on-line students, setting up a lab/classroom to accommodate both types of students required the incorporation of technology to support the needs. The design expressed the needs of today’s technology as well as that of the future.
The new areas included a Chemistry/Biochemistry, Micro Lab, A & P Lab, SRD Lab, Shared Preparation/Storage, and Instructor Offices.
