Mike has extensive experience designing and planning healthcare projects of all types, including hospital campus master plans, freestanding medical centers, replacement additions and complete departmental renovations with phasing. With over 30 years in the field, he has a strong understanding of how the advances in technology affect the design of healthcare facilities. Major department experience includes cardiac, emergency, surgery, ICU, imaging, labor and delivery and inpatient nursing. He also has been involved in the design of numerous specialty hospitals across the United States, with specific expertise in the planning and design of cardiovascular facilities, both freestanding and within tertiary hospital facilities. He actively incorporates workflow processes capitalizing on the use of 3D imaging to test everyday design methodologies.
He is the winner of the Henry Adams Certificate of Merit, University of Nebraska, AIA, 1981. Mike’s expertise has been showcased in healthcare magazine articles and he has been a featured speaker at various healthcare conferences.
