ALTUS TEAM MEMBERS RALLY TO SUPPORT DENIM FOR DISABILITIES

3.12.18

To kick-off our 2018 campaign to “give back” and support our valued clients, all team members were able to participate in our first ever Denim for Disabilities fundraiser benefiting UNMC’s Monroe-Meyer Institute.

For $1 a day, from January 15 – February 9th, employees could wear jeans. The event is traditionally a campus-wide fundraiser for UNMC departments. However, as a proud partner to both UNMC and Monroe-Meyer, Altus became the first off-site or partner donor, as our leadership encouraged participation as a way to offer our support for the mission of the Monroe-Meyer Institute. Heading into the last week of the campaign, the ante was upped as President Loren Lamprecht offered to match all employee monies. As a result of the firms collective efforts, Altus was able to present a $600 check to Monroe-Meyer Institute.

The event raises money for the recreational therapy program at the Monroe-Meyer Institute, which provides activities on Thursday night for adults with developmental disabilities. Hundreds of families benefit from these services each year.
