With a drive to continue advancing his career focused on healthcare design, Leo joins Altus at our new office location in downtown Denver. Leo’s interest in healthcare architecture stems from his genuine desire to improve the patient and staff experiences as well as better their day-to-day lives. With project experience from conceptual design through construction completion, and roles ranging from project management on high technology hybrid operating rooms and advanced cardiac cath labs through project coordination responsibilities for expansive hospital additions, Leo addresses the smallest details while maintaining a broad overview of the entire project. He is especially interested in Evidence Based Design which uses credible research to inform the design process and achieve the best operational and functional outcomes for each project. He will bring to bear his experience in knowledge development for evidence-based practice and informatics plus best practices for safe healthcare systems.
Leo received his Master of Architecture from the Texas Tech University, College of Architecture and his Bachelor of Science in Architecture, graduating Cum Laude, also from Texas Tech University. Leo’s deep appreciation for the healthcare market sector is evident in the fact that he earned his Healthcare Facility Design Certificate (HCaF) in 2011.
Chad Kruse, Denver Managing Principal, shares, “Leo has a commitment to design excellence, a strong, collaborative work ethic, and a positive attitude to whatever challenges he encounters. These technical and critical thinking abilities will serve us well as we take on a variety of complex healthcare projects.”
Leo is a well-respected, diligent team player who will perfectly augment our growing firm. We consider ourselves fortunate to have him aboard!
