ALTUS’ GEOGRAPHIC EXPANSION IN COLORADO TO BE LED BY CHAD KRUSE, CHFM

1.31.18

Altus is excited to announce our team expansion into the Colorado marketplace!  In support of current and future relationships, we welcome Chad Kruse, Vice President, to our leadership team. In Chad, the firm gains a dynamic and seasoned healthcare professional. Our relationship with Chad dates to the early 2000’s when he was a client, working with Altus on numerous projects at Nebraska Medicine in Omaha, NE. He continued his career providing healthcare management operations when he moved to Glenwood Springs, CO in 2013 to take on the role of Director of Facilities for Valley View Hospital.

With more than a decade of provider-side experience – both at a rural hospital as well as a large academic teaching system – Chad is poised to appreciate and foresee the many challenges and strategic needs of our clients. His experience, empathy, and knowledge enables him to offer the most relevant solutions and appropriate resources for each client project. Likewise, his active involvement in national and regional healthcare associations ensures he will infuse projects with innovation and best practices to achieve success.

Chad graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, with a minor in Business Administration and a Bachelor of Science in Construction Management. As a lifelong learner, he is nearing completion of his Masters in Healthcare Administration at Colorado State University, with an anticipated graduation in March 2018. His passion for serving is evident in the fact that he is currently the acting Board Treasurer for the Colorado Association of Healthcare Engineers & Directors (CAHED).  In addition, Chad received the American Society of Healthcare Engineers (ASHE) 2016 Emerging Leader Award.

While discussing his transition from the provider-side to becoming an architecture partner, Chad states, “I’ve never been one to shy away from a challenge, so when this opportunity presented itself I knew I could make an impact, which was key for making the change. I’ve always been highly invested in the pursuit to foster excellence in the patient experience, especially as it relates to quality and safety within the built environment and associated operations, so being able to influence those outcomes up-front in the planning and design process has me stoked. I look forward to being able to relate to clients, in the fact that I’ve managed operations and compliance teams, which provides me with a firm grasp on the challenges and strategic initiatives they face. In this new capacity with Altus, I’ll be able to proactively foster expert collaboration in support of clients to address both their current issues, as well as in anticipation of future needs, such as long range space flexibility and operational efficiency. I have held Altus in high regard for many years – I’m thrilled to join the Altus team!”

We are ecstatic to have Chad onboard!
