Blue Valley Lutheran Homes was seeking an architectural firm with expertise in resident-centered care in order to expand services at their Blue Valley Riverside Assisted Living location in Hebron, Nebraska.

Working from an initial concept and vision Altus’ Design Team collaborated with the steering committee to expanded and advanced the project while staying within a tight budget.  The entrance was rotated to increase visibility and more importantly it helped increase access and safety at the entry.  Each new private room now includes a bay window and increased storage space for residents and care givers.  The updated areas blend with the existing care areas while at the same time dividing the space to create areas of interest, increased storage and functionality.
